About WAITA Welcome to WAITA.ca
Who Runs WAITA?
Master Khang — Taekwondo Master and Founder of WAITA
Welcome to WAITA.ca, the online home of the World AI Taekwondo Association (WAITA), based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
WAITA explores the connection between Taekwondo, artificial intelligence, movement analysis, and modern technology.
Our goal is to explore how emerging digital tools can help Taekwondo students, instructors, athletes, and martial arts enthusiasts better understand movement, training, and performance.
Our Mission
Taekwondo has a long tradition of discipline, respect, perseverance, and continuous practice.
Technology is changing how people learn, train, and understand physical movement. WAITA explores how artificial intelligence and digital tools can complement traditional Taekwondo training without replacing the knowledge and experience of qualified instructors.
We believe technology can provide another way to observe and understand movement.
Our approach is simple:
Train with the body.
Understand movement with data.
Use technology to support improvement.
Taekwondo and Artificial Intelligence
One of WAITA’s main areas of interest is the use of AI-assisted movement analysis in Taekwondo.
For example, video-based analysis may be used to explore elements such as kicking speed, balance, body position, timing, hip movement, and technique.
WAITA also explores ideas involving smartphone video, motion tracking, digital training records, smart training equipment, and visual performance feedback.
These technologies are presented as educational and experimental tools. They are intended to complement traditional training and instructor feedback rather than replace them.

Who Runs WAITA?
WAITA is operated by Master Khang, a Taekwondo master and digital content creator based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Master Khang has dedicated many years to Taekwondo training and instruction and is interested in exploring how traditional martial arts can adapt to the rapidly changing world of digital technology and artificial intelligence.
Through WAITA, he combines his experience in Taekwondo with an interest in AI, digital media, video analysis, and new educational tools.
Our Approach to AI
Artificial intelligence is developing rapidly, but technology should be used responsibly.
WAITA does not present AI-generated analysis as a replacement for professional instruction, medical advice, or qualified athletic assessment.
Instead, we explore practical ways technology may help people observe, visualize, record, and understand movement.
Where appropriate, our articles distinguish between established Taekwondo training principles, technology concepts, experimental ideas, and future possibilities.
Our Vision
We believe the future of Taekwondo can include both the wisdom of traditional martial arts and the possibilities offered by modern technology.
WAITA is building an educational platform to explore that future.
Our vision is to help create a new generation of martial artists who can develop a strong body, a wise mind, and the ability to use technology responsibly.
